Biography
Dr. Amini is the George Johnson Professor of Supply Chain and Operations Management in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics (FCBE), at The University of Memphis. Currently, he serves as the Co-Director of the Supply Chain Management Center of Excellence. Previously, he served as Associate Director of FedEx Center for Supply Chain Management and Founding Director of the Enterprise Simulation and Optimization Lab (eSOL), at The University of Memphis. He is Cyber Security and Biologistics Fellows at the FedEx Institute of Technology. Dr. Amini is a member of the University of Memphis Research Council and Institutional Review Board (IRB). For over a decade, he held Visiting Professorships at both Royal Institute of Technology and Luleå University of Technology, Sweden. He served as Director of the FCBE Master Programs from 1994 to 1996.
Dr. Amini primary teaching areas are supply chain management, operations management, sustainable enterprise and business analytics. He has been teaching in the undergraduate, Professional MBA, International MBA, Customer-Driven MBA, Executive MBA, and Ph.D. programs in United States and countries in Europe, Africa, and Middle East.

1- The scholarship will be administered by the Association for Iranian Studies.
2- The Mohammad Amini Memorial Award will be given annually.
3- AIS will be responsible for publicizing the award on its webpage and issuing an annual call for applications.
4- AIS will assemble a committee of five members, including at least one member of the AIS council, to review applications and determine the awardee each Spring, beginning in 2024.
5- The $1000 USD fund will be submitted to AIS by the donor(s) in advance of the annual conference in which the award will be distributed to the awardee.
