Nazar (transl.Evil Eye) is an Indian supernaturalthriller series produced by 4 Lions Films and directed by Atif Khan that airs on StarPlus and streams digitally on Disney+ Hotstar.[1]
Season 1 of the franchise aired from 30 July to 18 February [2] It starred Monalisa, Niyati Fatnani, and Harsh Rajput and performed well in TRP charts apart from gaining popularity.[3]
Season 2 of the franchise, which replaced Season 1, premiered on 19 February and starred Monalisa and Shruti Sharma.[4] Despite having good ratings, the second season of Nazar went off-air due to the pandemic situation of COVID and its high production demand.[5]
A telefilm of Nazar premiered on Star Plus on 10 October under the name Ankahee Dastaan – Nazar.

Early life
[edit]Koppikar was born into a Konkani Chitrapur Saraswat family from Bandra, Mumbai and studied interior design. She has trained in Hindustani classical music.[3]
Career
[edit]Koppikar began her career by recording advertising jingles.[4] While she was in the process of forming a band, she was spotted by Indian jazz gurus Louis Banks and Joe Alvarez at a jamming session, who later became her mentors.[2]
