The widower of Selena Quintanilla Perez and her father have been locked in a legal battle for more than five years over whether the late Tejano singer's memoir could be adapted into a TV series.
Attorneys for her father Abraham Quintanilla Jr. argued the series, "To Selena With Love," violates an estate properties agreement her husband Chris Perez, her parents and her two siblings signed in May after her death.

"Good news! I wanted to give everyone an update to let you know that I have amicably resolved my legal dispute with Abraham Quintanilla, Jr. and the entire Quintanilla family," Perez said. "Now that these issues are behind us, going forward, my hope, and the hope of the Quintanilla family, is for us to work together to continue to honor and celebrate the legacy of Selena."
